Rollback
Return to the previous verified package and configuration without erasing audit evidence.
Rollback set
- previous verified wheel
- previous validated configuration and SOPs
- deployment manifest and checksums
- state/audit backup if schema compatibility requires it
- reviewed scheduler definitions
Procedure
- Pause scheduled collection through the approved deployment procedure.
- Capture current failure evidence.
- Restore the previous package and matching configuration.
- Validate configuration.
- Run one dry-run cycle.
- Verify both audit backends.
- Resume the timer and verify the next cycle.
Preserve evidence
Do not delete failed-release audit events. Store rollback evidence alongside the change record.
