Validation evidence is separated from architectural expectations, optional dependencies and unsupported runtimes.

Runtime and tools
- Python
- 3.12 or 3.13 according to package metadata
- systemd
- Required for the systemd collector and validated scheduled automation; other manual collectors can remain usable without it
- smartctl
- Optional; required only for SMART telemetry
- nvme-cli
- Not required by the current sysfs-based NVMe inventory collector
- nvidia-smi
- Optional; required for proprietary NVIDIA telemetry, not for sysfs hardware detection
Hardware exposure
hwmon, thermal, fan, DMI, EDAC/ECC, power, SMART, NVMe and NVIDIA results depend on physical hardware, kernel drivers, firmware, virtualization, permissions and optional utilities. Unsupported facilities degrade structurally.
